For 1993-2000, Thailand by the Department of Industrial Works has been approved a fund from the Multilateral Fund at 5,565,190 US dollars for phasing out CFC-113, 1,1,1-Trichloroethane which used as solvent for cleaning electronic metals and equipment.
The assistance from the Department was in form of individual project with 11 beneficiaries at total. These beneficiaries had to replace their production process which ODSs to non-ODSs technologies. The result from these projects is 113.7 ODP tonnes of ODS phased out.
