The Department of Industrial Works has been approved a fund at 1,597,313 US dollars from the Multilateral Fund for implementing 6 individual projects between 1993-2000 to assist enterprises in aerosol spray industry which use CFC-11 and 12 as propellant. The beneficiaries of these projects are packaging enterprises who are assisted in converting their CFC equipment to CFC-free technologies such as Hydrocarbon Aerosol Propellant (HAP), Propane and Butane. The result from these projects is 504 ODP tonnes of ODS phased out.
