Commercial Refrigerator

          Enterprises receive assistance from the Department in form of individual project for totaling 6 projects.

          For SMEs in this industry, Thailand has been endorsed a Grant Fund at 2,631,486 US dollars from the Multilateral Fund through the World Bank to implement the Commercial Refrigerator Terminal Umbrella Project for assisting this group of enterprises. The assistance is in form of Voucher system by providing vouchers to them for purchasing equipment for producing and servicing commercial refrigerators. This project is aimed to replace CFCs with HCFCs (CFC-12 to HFC-134a and CFC-11 to HFC-141b) while producing foam insulators in refrigerator. The Deparment of Industrial Works has assigned Kulthorn Engineering Partnerships as project manager responsible for researching, holding seminars, distributing equipment, transferring knowledge and evaluating the project.

          This implementation covers provinces in Middle, North, South, East and North East of Thailand with totaling 228 beneficiaries or amounted to 200.19 ODP tonnes of CFC-11 and 12 inclusively.
